FAQ
1. How long does shipping take?
Processing: 1-3 business days. Shipping: 5-10 business days (contiguous US). You'll receive tracking via email.
2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout based on weight/destination. Free standard shipping on orders over $[amount].
3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.
4. What types of vacuum cleaner robots do you offer?
We offer robotic vacuum cleaners for home use. All our robot vacuums comply with UL 1017 (Standard for Vacuum Cleaners, Blower Cleaners, and Household Floor Finishing Machines), covering electrical safety, leakage current, dielectric strength, thermal protection, mechanical hazards, and stability testing. Cordless models with lithium batteries comply with UL 2595 (battery safety). Robot vacuums with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or app connectivity also comply with FCC Part 15 as unintentional radiators.
5. What types of dust collection bags do you offer?
We offer replacement dust bags and filters for robotic and canister vacuums. Our dust collection bags are made from filtration-grade materials. All materials comply with California Proposition 65 for chemical safety.
6. What types of virtual wall magnetic strips do you offer?
We offer magnetic strips for creating virtual boundaries with compatible robotic vacuums. These are passive magnetic accessories and are excluded from FCC certification requirements (incidental radiators). They comply with general CPSC safety standards for materials and small parts.
7. What are the key certifications for robot vacuums?
| Certification | Applicable Standard | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| UL 1017 | Electrical/mechanical safety | Leakage current, dielectric strength, thermal protection, mechanical hazards, stability |
| FCC Part 15 | EMI/EMC for digital devices | Unintentional radiator compliance, conducted/radiated emissions limits |
| FCC Part 15.247 (wireless models) | Intentional radiators (Wi-Fi/BT) | FCC ID required, RF output power, spurious emissions |
| CARB | Battery safety (cordless models) | Lithium battery compliance |
8. What is UL 1017 certification?
UL 1017 is the U.S. safety standard for motor-operated vacuum cleaners, blower cleaners, floor sweepers, and household floor finishing machines. It was updated in 2025 (Edition 11) with revised requirements applicable to robotic vacuums. The standard covers electrical safety (leakage current, dielectric withstand, thermal protection), mechanical hazards (blade guarding, stability), and construction requirements. All our robot vacuums are UL 1017 certified.
9. What is the FCC Part 15 requirement for robot vacuums?
Robot vacuums contain digital electronics and may include wireless modules (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth). Under FCC Part 15 Subpart B, they are classified as unintentional radiators — devices that generate radio frequency energy for internal use but are not designed to emit RF energy wirelessly. These devices must comply with conducted and radiated emissions limits. They require either FCC Certification (if they have intentional radiators like Wi-Fi) or Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) (if they only have digital logic). Certification involves testing at an FCC-accredited laboratory and is required before marketing. Products with wireless features (Wi-Fi/BT) must additionally comply with FCC Part 15.247 (intentional radiators) and bear an FCC ID permanently printed on the product and packaging. The product also includes the required compliance statement in the user manual.
10. Are virtual wall magnetic strips subject to FCC certification?
No. Virtual wall magnetic strips are passive magnetic accessories — they do not contain digital logic, wireless transmitters, or electrical components. As such, they are classified as incidental radiators under FCC Part 15, which do not require equipment authorization. However, they must still comply with general CPSC safety requirements (no sharp edges, small parts warnings if applicable) and California Proposition 65 chemical limits.
11. What are the safety requirements for dust collection bags?
Dust collection bags must comply with:
-
16 CFR Part 1610 (flammability of clothing textiles) – for textile components
-
California Proposition 65 – chemical limits (lead, phthalates, flame retardants)
-
FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423) – where applicable
-
CPSIA – if used with children's products
12. What is California Proposition 65?
California Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings about significant exposures to chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Products sold or shipped into California must display a compliant "clear and reasonable" warning if they contain any of the 900+ listed chemicals above safe harbor levels. The required warning includes the yellow triangle symbol (⚠) and the word "WARNING" in bold capital letters. Civil penalties for non-compliance can reach up to $2,500 per violation per day. When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging.
13. How do I care for my robot vacuum?
-
Empty dustbin after each use.
-
Clean or replace filters as recommended.
-
Remove hair/debris from brush roll regularly.
-
Wipe sensors and charging contacts with dry cloth.
-
Unplug before cleaning; do not immerse in water.
-
For models with rechargeable batteries: follow charging instructions; do not overcharge.
14. How do I care for my dust collection bags?
-
Replace when full (check indicator light).
-
Do not wash or reuse disposable bags.
